Meet the Trainer
Savannah Hutto is the daughter of an established hunter/jumper trainer and has built a successful career both in and out of the show ring. Throughout her junior career, she earned numerous accomplishments in the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions, including multiple derby victories and top finishes in medal finals across the Southeast. Her achievements include winning both the CEC Medal Finals and the Palmetto Junior Medal Finals, as well as consistently earning top ribbons in competitive derby and equitation classes. Savannah also qualified for and competed in the prestigious Hamel Foundation NHS 3’3” Medal Finals on two occasions, competing against some of the country’s top junior riders.
She later graduated from St. Andrews University with a degree in Equine Business Management, where she continued to excel in both IHSA and ANRC competition during her collegiate riding career. Since graduation, Savannah has continued to expand her professional experience while working under respected professionals including Bruce Christison, Daniel Geitner, and Stephanie Von Bidder.
In addition to her competitive and professional background, Savannah has successfully developed and retrained multiple off-the-track Thoroughbreds, purchasing and producing them into successful sport horses both in and out of the show ring. Her program emphasizes correct flatwork, confidence-building, and individualized training, allowing OTTBs to transition into productive and competitive second careers. Her background combines high-level competitive experience, professional horsemanship, and a strong foundation in training and rider development, all of which shape the philosophy and program behind Greyfield Farms at One Under Lane.
